The first 6 were standing; the last 4 were seated. In real-life, my sprinting is almost always seated.
I'm down a few hundred watts at my peak from the last couple years. Lots of reasons, I think:
- no winter weight training so I didn't have much occasion to recruit a lot of my fast-twitch fibers for cycling
- no sprint-specific training this year. form is an important part of squeezing out extra power.
- narrower bars - I switched from 44s to 42s. I'm a little more aero and narrow, but it comes at the expense of some upper body leverage
- I'm down a few pounds. Some of this has to be the upper body bulk that was good for sprinting and the beach, but little else
- Age. Fatigue. Despair.
I propose not to hold off until you earn enough cash to buy goods! You should take the loan or just small business loan and feel comfortable
