Carmichael loves the 3x3. I know I posted what looks like the exact same file a week ago but this is a different workout. And I've done the same workout two other times since the last post. Like I said, Carmichael loves the 3x3.
I'm not sure I feel the same way about them, which I guess means they're working. My power on the second set has come up since I've been doing these, and now I can put out the same wattage at the end as I do at the beginning.
I think also there is a lot of value in repeating intervals of the same duration, over and over and over again. 3 minutes is becoming my 7-iron, the confidence club in golf. You can't always pull it out of the bag, but whenever the shot allows, if it's the club you're really accustomed to, you approach the shot a little more relaxed. I'm getting that way with the 3-minute effort, which I can see may have implications in the way I race.
